This is a hand-pressed lithographic print of a pen and ink drawing by Naomi Blayney. The Millennium Bridge is an award-winning foot and cycle bridge connecting Gateshead and Newcastle quaysides. The bridge, designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre, was lifted into place on 20 November 2000. Huge hydraulic rams, one of each side, tilt the bridge back on special pivots to allow small ships and boats to pass through. Partly funded by the Millennium Commission and European Regional Development Fund, the bridge cost £22 million. The print is signed by the artist and comes with a double mount ready to be framed. Approx. overall size: 10 x 8 inches.
