This is a hand-pressed lithographic print of a pen and ink drawing by Naomi Blayney. Penshaw Monument was built in 1848 in honour of John George Lambton, first Earl of Durham. It is a copy of the temple of Theseum in Athens, though half its size. At 136 metres above sea level, it can be seen clearly for miles around. The columns are solid except one which contains a spiral staircase leading to the upper walkways. The print is signed by the artist and comes with a double mount ready to be framed. Approx. overall size: 10 x 8 inches.
